Cask Ale (also known as real ale) is the term for unfiltered and unpasteurised beer which is conditioned (including secondary fermenation) and served from a firkin without additional nitrogen or CO2.

It is traditionally served cool rather than cold in order for it's silky smooth taste to seduce the tastebuds rather than shocking them.
